Magnetism uses social networking services such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram an TikTok to communicate with the public about its activities. Magnetism may collect your personal information when you communicate with us by using these social networking services. When you communicate with us through a social network service such as Facebook or Twitter, the social network provider and its partners may collect and hold your personal information overseas and we do not warrant that such data will only be dealt with as per this Privacy Policy.

If you wish to delete your data, we will take steps to securely delete this information from our active systems within ninety (90) days from your request. However, some data may remain in backup copies for a limited period of time in accordance with our data retention policy. Magnetism values privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Magnetism employs reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information from misuse, interference and loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. These include, but are not limited to, the use of encryption technology, secure server hosting and strict access controls to limit data access. Your information may only be accessed by Magnetism’s authorised employees and contractors by way of two factor authentication access and only for the purposes described in this Policy.
All personal information collected is held on our cloud storage, on servers located within Microsoft, Amazon and Google. We retain effective control over any personal information held on our cloud, and the information is handled in accordance with NZIPPs and GDPR. If we transfer data internationally, we ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws.
We take steps to protect the security of the personal information we hold from both internal and external threats by:
Regularly assessing the risk of misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure of that information
Taking measures to address those risks, for example, we keep a record (audit trail) of when someone has accessed our electronic databases and regularly check that staff only access those records when they need to
Conducting regular external audits to assess whether we have adequately complied with or implemented these measures
If there is a privacy breach involving your personal information, we will comply with our legal obligations under the NZPA and the NZIPPs (including notifying the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner and the affected individuals as applicable).
