Step-by-step guide to setup a Dynamics CRM 2011 development environment on Windows Azure – Part 4

Vincent Zhong, 22 August 2012

This blog post is the final part of a series.  Hopefully after a long wait you will see the following screen. When it is done, you have the option to start the installer for Reporting Extension for SSRS. I will just tick it as I don’t want to manually locate the installation file for Reporting Extension later on.

Again you have the option to check for update first. I also recommend you to do that.

Next select the SQL Server, your SQL Server should be auto populated:

Then is to specify SSRS Instance, again you shouldn’t need to change anything here:

Select the location you want to install the Reporting Extension for SSRS:

Then is final System Checks, everything should pass this time:

Again it is the summary page for you to review this installation. Just click “Install” if everything looks correct:

Finally the Reporting Extension is also done:

Now this Dynamics CRM 2011 installation is done. We just need to give it a test drive, to make sure everything is working.

First we will try to access the CRM system. To do that we can just start Internet Explorer, and type in the server name you set up, for me is “crm2011trial”. If the server name you typed in is correct, you should see the following login window pop up.

After you type in your Domain username and password, you might see this page:

Just follow the steps described there, that should fix the problem. After you done that, you can refresh the page, hopefully what you see will looks like this:

That is the end of this series. Now you can play around with your CRM system in Azure, like import the sample data, and just try it out.

Thanks for reading.
